Born and raised in Folkestone, I spent 6 years in Kingston-upon-Thames where I studied fine art and developed as a singer-songwriter/ performer. I ended up returning to Folkestone to benefit from, and hopefully contribute to, the town’s creative regeneration.
After several years as a music producer with a day job in a bookshop, I decided to move on to new challenges. While living in the Creative Quarter and working night shifts in the local council’s control room, I managed to teach myself web development from absolute zero. It took me around two years (turns out that learning new, technical stuff in your late 30s is hard), but I’m now a freelance developer, working mostly with Sandgate based design agency Nebulo.
I love low-angle sunshine, family and friends, indie cinema, languid bike rides, calisthenics, literary fiction, summer sea swimming, Shane Carruth, Alex Honnold, Rose Namajunas, Kendrick Lamar and Alan Partridge.
