Born and raised in Folkestone, I spent 6 years in Kingston-upon-Thames where I studied fine art and developed as a singer-songwriter/ performer. I came back to Folkestone to benefit from, and hopefully contribute to, the town’s creative regeneration.
After several years as a music producer with a day job in a bookshop, I decided to move on to new challenges. While living in the Creative Quarter and working night shifts in the local council’s control room, I managed to teach myself web development from absolute zero. It took me around two years (learning new, technical stuff in your late 30s is haaaard, it turns out!), but I’m now a freelance developer, working mostly with Sandgate based design agency Nebulo.
I like low-angle sunshine, family and friends, indie cinema, languid bike rides, calisthenics, literary fiction, summer sea swimming, Shane Carruth, Rose Namajunas, Kendrick Lamar, Alex Honnold and Alan Partridge.
